The beauty of light
Light is like perfume: is has so many shades that is impossible to decide which is the best as we all have different tastes, almost intimate. The same applies to installations which are unique, all different one another.
Light is life: human beings have always followed the rhythms of day and night, using light hours to carry their activities and dark hours to rest. At the same time, mankind tried since prehistory to extend its productive time through artificial lighting.
Light is art: with light you are able to perceive the environment, you create the volumes and perspectives. Sometimes we discover new caves in remote areas of the world, not reached by natural light, where the Ancients painted images thanks to artificial lighting.
Light is science: Lord Kelvin in XIX century said “In physical science the first essential step in the direction of learning any subject is to find principles of numerical reckoning and practicable methods for measuring some quality connected with it. I often say that when you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meagre and unsatisfactory kind; it may be the beginning of knowledge, but you have scarcely in your thoughts advanced to the state of Science, whatever the matter may be.” This quotation teaches us that we need specific qualities and knowledge to reach a result that meets the expectations; this happens only respecting each person’s job and tasks without interfering.
